Author Guidelines

Jurnal Ilmiah Administrasi Publik operates an online submission and peer review system that allows authors to submit articles online and track their progress via a web interface. Please check whether you already have an account in the system before trying to create a new one. If you have reviewed or authored for the journal in the past year it is likely that you will have had an account created. All papers must be submitted via the online system.

If your paper is accepted, the author identified as the formal corresponding author for the paper will receive an email prompting them to login into Author Services; where via the JIAP Author Licensing Service they will be able to complete the license agreement on behalf of all authors on the paper.

All submissions including book reviews must have a separate title page, be double-line spaced and have a margin of 3 cm all around. Illustrations and tables must be located after the reference list, and not be incorporated into the main text. Figures should be uploaded as separate figure files. The language of the journal is English. 12-point type in one of the standard fonts: Times New Roman is preferred.

During the submission process you must include:

Title page: This should contain the full title, a short title of up to 70 characters and author information. The co-author information should be simple, only the co-author's institution name and country should be given. No detailed addresses with department names are required. Give the full address, including email, telephone and fax, of the corresponding author (who is to check the proofs).  On the title page please include the name(s) of any sponsor(s) of the research contained in the paper, along with grant number(s). Please include any acknowledgements on the title page.

Main document - Please include an abstract. The abstract should be entitled summary. Your abstract should be up to a maximum of 200 words. An abstract is a concise summary of the whole paper, not just the conclusions, and is understandable without reference to the rest of the paper. It should contain no citation to other published work.  Underneath your abstract please include between 3 and 8 keywords that describe your paper for indexing purposes.  Your manuscript should be no more than 7000 words (excluding abstract and references). Tables covering half a page would be equivalent to 300 words and a whole page to 500 words. Articles in excess of this word limit are likely to be returned to the author for revision. Experience shows that readers welcome shorter articles.

Please note that all main documents should be entitled "article" throughout the text.

Your manuscript file should not contain author/identifying information so that we may send this blinded file to reviewers.

Reference style: References should be cited in the text as name and year within brackets and listed at the end of the paper alphabetically. Where reference is made to more than one work by the same author published in the same year, identify each citation in the text as follows: (Collins, 1998a), (Collins, 1998b). Where three or more authors are listed in the reference list, please cite in the text as (Collins et al., 1998). All references must be complete and accurate. If necessary, cite unpublished or personal work in the text but do not include it in the reference list. Where possible the DOI for the reference should be included at the end of the reference. Online citations should include date of access. References should be listed in the following style:

Jin WG, Cheung YK, Zienkiewicz OC.1991. Trefftz method for Kirchhoff plate bending problems. International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering. 36 : 765-781.

Reismann H.1988. Elastic Plates: Theory and Application . Wiley: New York.
